How to Turn Your Child into a Superhero (in a Real Comic Book)
Capes, masks and a story where your kid saves the day: playful ideas for a superhero day at home, finished with a comic book starring your child.

Almost every child goes through a superhero phase: a towel becomes a cape, the sofa becomes a skyscraper, and the cat becomes the villain. Here's how to turn that phase into a day they'll remember, and a comic book they'll keep.
1. Invent their superpower together
Ask questions and let your child decide: Can they fly, or talk to animals? Are they super fast, or super kind? What's their hero name? Write it down: you'll want it later.
2. Make a simple costume
- A cape from an old T-shirt or pillowcase (no sewing needed).
- A mask cut from paper or felt.
- A logo drawn on paper and taped to the chest.
3. Take the hero photo
Before the costume gets muddy, take one clear photo of your child's face in good light. That photo is all you need for the next step.
4. Put them in their own comic book
At KidCape you upload that photo, pick an adventure (City Rescue is a superhero classic) and an art style, and add the story idea you invented in step 1. We make a 10-page comic book where your child is the hero, and email you the PDF.
5. Read it together
Read it on a tablet, or print it at home and staple the pages. Many kids then want to act it out, which brings you right back to step 1.
Why it works
Kids love seeing themselves as the brave one who helps others. A story where they are the hero is a small, fun way to say: you can do great things.
